CRYO-S® Mini is the compact cryosurgery device from METRUM CRYOFLEX, intended for the rapid, local freezing of pathological tissue lesions using sterilisable cryosurgical cryoprobes.
The device offers an easy-to-use, precise and cost-effective solution particularly for dermatological and gynaecological cryosurgical procedures.
Cryosurgery – an established treatment method
In cryosurgery the pathological tissue to be treated is cooled in a controlled manner to an extremely low temperature. Freezing damages the targeted tissue, after which the body’s natural processes gradually clear and regenerate the treated area.
According to the manufacturer, dermatological cryosurgical procedures can be performed without anaesthesia in the vast majority of cases. With the right indication the method can give a good cosmetic result, as healing is not typically accompanied by the tissue deformation associated with classical scarring.
